Mick Fuller

Ask any DJ worth their decks or any seasoned city clubber who’s the daddy of house in Brighton and they’ll say Mick Fuller. He is quite simply an inspirational figure on the Brighton scene as DJ’s across the city cite him as a reason for their DJing and clubbers name him the motive behind their moves on the dancefloor. From supplying the
tunes via his legendary record shop Urban Records (RIP) or delivering the sets of soulful and sweet house, DJ’s and clubbers can’t get enough of Mick Fuller. Mick also runs SoulShyne, which started life as an occasional soulful get-together but rapidly developed into an exclusive club and party promotional collective. Venues from Mick’s hometown of Brighton to those in the UK and further afield are all feeling the SoulShyne mix of Old School Soul, Funk Anthems, Disco Classics & Funky Soulful House – something Mick and co-promoter Michele Lefton are very happy about. With guests including Andy Caldwell (San Francisco), DJ Romain (NYC), Joey Musaphia, Dr Bob Jones, Cleveland Anderson (Black Masses), Bobby & Steve, Terry Jones, Harley & Muscle (Italy), Paul Sutton, Dave Jones & Rob Richards gracing SoulShyne it’s come as no surprise that this night continues to rock, all soulful like, at exclusive parties at venues including Babylon Lounge, Sumo, Ocean Rooms, Vudu, Suga Qube, Club 52, Funktion Rooms, Flava, Lo Lounge, Entourage, Concorde 2, H Bar & Medusa as well as Fuller & Lefton’s current venture, Good Times (an oldies party night) at Belushi’s Below.
